Los Alcázares lies on the Mar Menor, with shallow-water beaches and a long promenade. It is a small municipality with many second homes.
It suffered severe floods in 2016 and 2019, when torrential rain ran down the dry riverbeds (ramblas) to the sea. For a purchase, that means one compulsory check: where the plot sits in relation to the flood zones.
